MDCOB Welcomes Employers from the Greater Houston Area to Spring Career Fair

Students at career fair

One of the many resources the Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) offers to future business leaders is our very own MDCOB Career Center. The purpose of this office is to engage employers seeking talent while also preparing MDCOB graduates for the next big career step. The Spring Career Fair represents the strategic intersection of these goals while propelling our students into the real world through employer relations, community partnerships, and intentional networking. The MDCOB Career Center recently welcomed several businesses as a part of the Spring Semester Career Fairs in a sweeping success for all who attended.

With several companies occupying the University of Houston's One Main Building, students were able to interact with employers from different fields to gain insight into their industry and learn about available jobs for their future. Students were also given the opportunity to update their LinkedIn profile pictures with the Digital Communications team providing professional photos to those who participated in the event.

For the All-Majors Career Fair, the MDCOB Career Center welcomed 38 companies and 136 students to the One Main Building. At the Accounting and Finance Career Fair, 40 companies made the visit to the University of Houston Downtown with 151 students in attendance. In attendance for students were MDCOB's very own Master of Professional Accountancy and Master of Business Administration programs to provide admissions resources to students seeking graduate degrees in Accounting and Finance. Lastly, the Virtual Career Fair landed 15 companies with 83 students in attendance.

Some of the notable participants in this semester's Career Fair are:
