Gator Scholarship Center

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) awards a variety of scholarships based on academic merit, financial need, and special programming. All new applicants and current students are encouraged to search and apply for UHD scholarships.

UHD manages scholarship applications through this Gator Scholarship Center. The Gator Scholarship Center provides students the ability to search for scholarships and complete a general application. 

Students must answer all questions on the general scholarship application to be considered. Once the scholarship application is submitted, the Center will connect students with individualized scholarship opportunities for which students may be eligible. Submission of the scholarship application does not guarantee students will be selected for awards. 

The scholarship priority deadline for the 2024-2025 academic year is May 1, 2024.

Due to the delayed release of the 2024-2025 FAFSA, UHD currently plans to notify students selected for scholarships starting in late May 2024.
