Transfer Advising FAQ

Do I have to be CORE complete to Transfer to UHD?

No.  If you have more than 15 college-level credits from a regionally accredited school, you may qualify for transfer undergraduate admission to UHD.

What courses will transfer?

If you have attended another Texas institution, the transfer advisor can generally provide you with an evaluation of your coursework.  For out-of-state and international transcripts additional review may be required.  You can also review the transfer guides and the TCCN for course transferability.

Can I meet with an advisor before I transfer?

Yes.  Transfer Advisors meet with prospective students by appointment and at Transfer Thursdays.  To sign-up for a Transfer Thursday event,  see your admissions counselor.

Where can I find the admissions deadlines?

You can find the deadline for applying on the Admissions website.  Make sure that you complete the Apply Texas Application, Pay your Application Fee, and Request for your Transcripts to be sent to UHD.

What courses are being offered in the upcoming semester?

You can review the course schedule online to search for classes in the upcoming semester.

What are the degree requirements for my major?

Typically your advisor will review degree requirements with you during your advising session.  You can also review the program guides for degree requirements.
