Hyperion Reports

Summary of useful financial reports in Hyperion that can be used by departments throughout the fiscal year for financial analysis and budget planning for one fiscal year or multiple fiscal years.

Once user is logged into Hyperion, select the "Explore" button located at the top right-hand side.

For each report, the user must select the data parameters desired, such as department/college/division, fiscal year, fund codes or groups, NACUBO functions, periods, revenues. expenses, etc.

Reports that open within the Hyperion environment after parameters are selected can be exported to Excel.  Select the "File" menu option located at the top right-hand side, select " Export" and then "Excel".

Management Reports

Account Balances Report

Five-year balance reports for cumulative data such as beginning fund equity, fund equity adjustments, revenues, expenses, current fund equity and open commitments.  There are three report options: 1) by cost center, 2) by fund, and by 3) department.

Equity Reports

Five-year fund equity and encumbrance balance reports.  Three report options: 1) by cost center, 2) by department and 3) by fund group category (Summary).  Within each report, the user is able to select data for fund equity, encumbrance, or fund equity less encumbrances.

Interactive Query Tool Reports

The Budget vs Actual Query Tool report is a commonly used report used by the UHD Budget Office to view budget, revenue and expense transactions, totals, encumbrances by accounts and budget balances available across multiple fiscal years.

Quarterly Budget Report

Three report options for expense data and revenue data: 1) by department and node (Detail), 2) by cost center and budget account (Detail CC) and 3) by budget account category (Summary). 

This report displays the following data: base budget, revised budget, last fiscal year YTD, current fiscal year YTD, current fiscal year open commitment, last fiscal year full year, estimated current fiscal year full year, and current fiscal year revised budget versus estimated full year.
