To help make your transition into graduate school as smooth as possible, we’ve created a checklist for newly admitted students to complete. To Complete Immediately → 

To accept your admission offer, you must review, and sign an emailed Letter of Intent (LOI) from Ms. Cecilia Longoria. Students must submit their signed LOI to the Graduate Advising inbox at: MDCOBGradAdvising@uhd.edu.

Schedule an advising appointment by using your student login through Navigate or call 713-221-8252. Master of Security Management (MSM) students, contact longoriace@uhd.edu or 713-221-5038. Master of professional Accountancy (MPAC) students contact cornavacaj@uhd.edu or 713-226-5505.

Review and Apply for Financial Aid (if needed)→ 

UHD Student Financial Services manages financial aid application processes. For more information visit, Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.

International Students Only → 

The International Admissions Office will contact all international students directly via email once your official admission letter is processed and received by the International Admissions Office. This email will provide prospective students with information for obtaining appropriate visa eligibility documents, including Form I-20, and detailed instructions to complete a check-in and clearance process upon arrival on campus. ALL foreign national students must check in with the International Admissions Office before beginning their academic program at the University of Houston-Downtown Marilyn Davies College of Business.

• Check your GatorMail account as all official notices from the University are sent to this account

Register for classes once all holds are removed → 

For registration, students should enroll in classes via the myUHD website. Please be aware that course registrations need approval. Additionally, every student must enroll in at least three credit hours each semester. You can explore available courses through the course catalog.

Attend All Sessions of Orientation → 

Attendance at orientation is mandatory for all students admitted to a degree program, including students who have completed a previous degree at The University of Houston-Downtown Marilyn Davies College of Business.

MBA GBA Leveling Courses → 

MBA Admitted Students Applicants who hold an undergraduate degree from a non-AACSB accredited university or earned an undergraduate degree in a non-business field may be required GBA Leveling courses. Be sure to schedule an advising appointment to further review your transcript(s). AACSB website: https://www.aacsb.edu/accredited

**Note** If an applicant completed undergraduate course(s) that could potentially waive any of the GBA Leveling courses, a GBA Petition may be submitted for review. Submit the MBA GBA Petition Form .
