IT Service Desk
IT Service Desk is the central support hub for the University of Houston-Downtown community, providing assistance with all technology-related needs—including software, hardware, telephones, user accounts, and access privileges.
Support for Students
Students can receive in-person support during lab hours at Student Technology Services, located within the Academic Computing Labs.
For all other IT-related questions or technical issues, students are encouraged to contact the IT Service Desk via phone, chat, email, or by visiting in person.
Support for Faculty & Staff
Faculty and staff can reach out to the IT Service Desk through any available method for help with technology services, troubleshooting, or general IT requests.
Common IT Requests
The IT Service Desk assists with a wide range of services, including but not limited to:
- Software installations and updates
- Microsoft Office support
- Email configuration and troubleshooting
- Wireless connectivity issues
- Printer toner or cartridge replacements
- New printer or scanner setup
- Computer and laptop setup or relocation
- Telephone support
- Virus or spyware reporting
- Computer account access and password issues

- Saturday 1/24 - 7:30AM-7:30PM
- Sunday 1/25 - Closed (Messages will be checked at 7:30AM, 10AM, 2PM, 7PM)
- Monday 1/26 - Closed (Messages will be checked at 7:30AM, 10AM, 2PM, 7PM, 9PM)
On days we are closed messages will be checked throughout the day and your call will be returned promptly at those times.
