UHD faculty and staff can log into LinkedIn Learning for unlimited free access to a vast online library of instructional videos designed to help anyone learn business, technology, and creative skills to achieve personal and business goals. LinkedIn Learning offers engaging, top-quality courses taught by recognized industry experts with thousands of courses and 255,000+ video tutorials that can be accessed across desktop and mobile devices. Student access to LinkedIn Learning is now available to all Texas residents through the Houston Public Library and Harris County public library systems. To take advantage of this offering follow the steps below for the library system of your choosing.

Houston Public Library (HPL) 

 

Step 1: Get a free for Texas residents, MyLink library card for the Houston Public Library. 
This gives you access to LinkedIn Learning and many other benefits like free wifi, interlibrary loan, digital library, meeting spaces and much more. There are many branches of the Houston Public Library to choose from. During the process you will be assigned an eCard Number and you will establish a four-digit PIN.     
Step 2: Access LinkedIn Learning through the Houston Public Library website. 
Don't forget to bookmark the HPL LinkedIn Learning page.  Login with your newly assigned eCard Number and PIN.

 

Harris County Public Library (HCPL)
Step 1: Get a free for Texas residents,  iKnow Digital Library Card for the Harris County Public Library. 
This gives you access to LinkedIn Learning and many other benefits like free wifi, interlibrary loan, digital library, meeting spaces and much more. There are many branches of the Harris County Public Library to choose from. During the process you will be assigned an eCard Number and you will establish a four-digit PIN.     
Step 2: Access LinkedIn Learning through the Houston Public Library website. 
Don't forget to bookmark the HCPL LinkedIn Learning page.  Login with your newly assigned eCard Number and PIN.

FAQs:

Q: Am I required to create a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning?

A: No! While creating or linking a LinkedIn account is an option for using LinkedIn Learning, the SSO will allow current UHD Faculty or Staff to access LinkedIn Learning without having a LinkedIn account.

Q: What is the benefit to creating or linking a LinkedIn account to LinkedIn Learning?

A: By creating a new account or linking an existing LinkedIn account to LinkedIn Learning you will automatically receive credit for your completed courses right in your LinkedIn profile. In addition, when you leave UHD, any work you have completed in LinkedIn Learning will follow you in your LinkedIn profile. The SSO does not allow you to carry your LinkedIn Learning course info with you after you leave UHD.
