Leave Pools Contributions
UHD employees may contribute their sick and vacation leave time to the UHD leave pools. There are 3 pools to which a UHD employee may contribute.
- Sick Leave Pool is a pool to which employees may donate their leave to provide additional paid leave to eligible employees who have exhausted all time due to a catastrophic illness or injury. There are no tax implications to the donor for donating to this pool.
- Family Leave Pool for serious illness and major disaster. There are no tax implications to the donor for donating leave to this pool.
- Family Leave Pool for non-serious illness. There are tax implications to the donor for donating to this pool.
