Using iClicker Cloud
What is iClicker?
iClicker is a classroom response system that enables instructors to ask questions, gather student responses, display those responses in real-time, and grade them if necessary. iClicker can be used for polling, quizzes, attendance tracking, and more. Students can respond to questions using the iClicker app or a web browser on their mobile devices or computers. iClicker can be used in a remote setting or in a physical classroom.

How do I get an Account?
iClicker accounts are free to UHD Faculty and students. Students WILL NOT have to purchase an app subscription. They are covered already by our site license. Once you have created your iClicker account, you can access this tool from a browser or the iClicker mobile app.
Instructors
- To create an account in iClicker, visit iclicker.com and select “Create an Account”.
- Select your role (Instructor or Student).
- Search for University of Houston-Downtown.
- Fill in your account information using your UHD email address. You can leave the Instructor Remote ID field blank then click "Create Account".
- Once you've finished creating your account, you are ready to create an iClicker course.
Students
- Students should start by installing the iClicker Student App to their mobile device.
- Look for "Don't have an account?" and click "Sign Up!" below the login area.
- Find your institution by searching for University of Houston-Downtown.
- Enter your information and select "Create Account".
Note: As a best practice, we recommend entering your First and Last Name as they appear in Canvas and using your UHD email address to ensure you receive full iClicker points in your instructor's gradebook.

What is the cost of using iClicker?
iClicker is free to UHD faculty and students courtesy of the College of Science & Technology's Shell Grant. Students who need the physical hand-held remote devices (the clickers) must be purchase them separately. These are optional and not required to use iClicker.
Note: Students using hand-held remote devices will not be able to participate in target questions or short answer questions.
