The Borderlands Shakespeare Colectiva (BSC) seeks to amplify the work of Chicanx and Indigenous artists who adapt Shakespeare to reflect the histories and lived realities of the U.S.–Mexico Borderlands.

The Borderlands Shakespeare Colectiva co-founders are Drs. Kathryn Vomero Santos (Trinity University), Katherine Gillen (Texas A&M University–San Antonio), and Adrianna M. Santos (Texas A&M University–San Antonio).

Light Refreshments will be provided!

Dr. Godwin AgbokaProfessor Godwin Y. Agboka Receives Two 2023 CCCC Technical and Scientific Communication Awards

Godwin Y. Agboka, University of Houston-Downtown, has received a 2023 CCCC Technical and Scientific Communication Award for Equipping Technical Communicators for Social Justice Work: Theories, Methodologies, and Pedagogies, coedited with Rebecca Walton, Utah State University. Agboka received an award for Best Original Collection of Essays in Technical or Scientific Communication. The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) is a constituent organization within the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).

Dr. Agboka has also received received a 2023 CCCC Technical and Scientific Communication Award for Curricular Efforts in Technical Communication After the Social Justice Turn in Volume 36 Issue 1 of Journal of Business and Technical Communication, coauthored with Isidore K. Dorpenyo. Agboka received an award for Best Article on Pedagogy or Curriculum in Technical or Scientific Communication. The Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) is a constituent organization within the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
