Loads of laughter and literature collide in this smart hit comedy about books and the people who love them. Ana is a Type A personality who lives in a letter-perfect world with an adoring husband, the perfect job and her greatest passion: Book Club. But when her cherished group becomes the focus of a documentary film, their intimate discussions about life and literature take a turn for the hilarious in front of the inescapable camera lens. Add a provocative new member along with some surprising new book titles, and these six friends are bound for pandemonium. Sprinkled with fun theatrical references to documentaries and novels galore from Moby Dick and Age of Innocence to Twilight and The Da Vinci Code, this buoyant comedy on contemporary culture will have everyone laughing … and reflecting. The Book Club Play is a delightful play about life, love, literature and the side-splitting results when friends start reading between the lines.   Play performances April 6 - 15, visit O'Kane Theatre website for dates and times.

Elevator Pitch Contest
April 11, 2023
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.
N1099

Come give a 30 to 90 second pitch about either yourself or an organization you represent – for a chance to win a gift card of up to $50!

This contest is open to all current UHD students. There's a limit of 20 entrants, and it's first-come, first-serve. The entries will be judged by a team of experienced faculty, and they will choose the top three pitches.

After the event the judges and any other attending faculty will offer feedback about the specific pitches and advice to help you make them better. Since this event is happening the day before the internship fair, this is a valuable opportunity for you to practice your elevator pitches in the hopes of landing that perfect internship. This could be the start of a great future.
