Get Registered!

Course Registration opens in April and it's time to begin thinking about your next semester at UHD. Students who need assistance with course planning should contact Academic Advising or meet with College Advisors to discuss course selection before final exams begin to allow sufficient time to register for desired classes early.

Take 3 Easy Steps​​ to Get Ready for Registration

1. Complete Your Pre-Registration Checklist

Declared Majors

  • Declared majors and students with degree plans should review your major requirements, degree plans and the Class Schedule before meeting with your advisor.
  • Schedule an appointment to meet with your Academic Advisor to discuss class interests, course prerequisites and your overall academic progress.
  • Clear any holds that may prevent registration.
  • Check on the availability of the courses you are interested in and if a section is closed, request a Seat Availability Notification to be alerted if the section opens.
  • Pre-Register for classes.
Undeclared Majors
  • Undeclared majors should review the Class Schedule and make note of the classes you are interested in before meeting with an Academic Advisor.
  • Schedule an appointment to meet with your Academic Advisor to discuss class interests, course prerequisites and your overall academic progress.
  • Clear any holds that may prevent registration.
  • Check on the availability of the courses you are interested in and if a section is closed, request a Seat Availability Notification to be alerted if the section opens.
  • Pre-Register for classes.
Graduate Students
  • Graduate students should review your program requirements and the Class Schedule before meeting with your program advisor.
  • Schedule an appointment to meet with your program advisor.
  • During your advising meeting discuss your class interests and obtain course approvals (if applicable).
  • Clear any holds that may prevent registration.
  • Check on the availability of the courses you are interested in and if a section is closed, request a Seat Availability Notification to be alerted if the section opens.
  • Pre-Register for classes.
New Students

Visit www.uhd.edu/admitted and get signed up to attend your transition program.

 

2. Register During Your Registration Period for Summer 2017 and Fall 2017

 

3. Select your payment method

Financial Aid

Students interested in using financial aid should complete your FAFSA and submit any additional documents that UHD requests.

Monthly Payments

Take advantage of an Installment Payment Plan which allows you to make multiple payments instead of one lump sum.

Other Payment Options

Consider other payment options including cash, check, money order or cashier’s checks. ​

Planning ahead can help ensure a smooth transition for the upcoming new semester and UHD is ready to help you get one semester closer to earning your degree.

Please note: The registration process at the University of Houston-Downtown begins with "registration." During this time, students can add classes to their schedule through eServices according to their assigned enrollment appointments. Registration is not complete and students are not officially enrolled until payment has been made on tuition and fee charges by the deadlines established in the academic calendar. ​
