Graduate Certificate in History Scholarships
HISTCERT New Graduate Student Scholarship
This is a competitive scholarship and the recipients will be determined by the quality of the essay and prior undergraduate and/or graduate GPA. This award is restricted to expenses associated with credit bearing coursework at UHD, including tuition, books, fees, and/or supplies in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Award Amount: $1,000
Application Deadline: September 4, 2023
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
- Have applied for admission into the HISTCERT program for the Spring 2023, Summer 2023, or Fall 2023 semester
- Have a prior undergraduate and/or graduate GPA of 3.0+
- Have completed less than 6 semester credit hours in the HISTCERT program prior to the start of the fall 2023 semester
- Be registered for at least 3 semester credit hours in the HISTCERT program in fall 2023 semester.
- Complete and submit the HISTCERT New Student Scholarship application form by September 4, 2023

HISTCERT Continuing Graduate Student Scholarship
This is a competitive scholarship and the recipients will be determined by the quality of the essay and their UHD Graduate GPA. This award is restricted to expenses associated with credit bearing coursework at UHD, including tuition, books, fees, and/or supplies in the 2023-2024 academic year.
Award Amount: $1,000
Application Deadline: September 4, 2023
To be eligible for this scholarship, students must:
- Be a continuing graduate student with at least 6 semester credit hours completed in a UHD CHSS certificate or master’s program
- Have a UHD Graduate GPA of 3.0+ and be in good academic and financial standing at the university
- Be enrolled in the HISTCERT program for the fall 2023 semester
- Be registered for at least 3 semester credit hours in the HISTCERT program in the fall 2023 semester
- Complete and submit the HISTCERT Continuing Graduate Student Scholarship application form by September 4, 2023
