Council of Organizations

About COO

The Council of Organizations (COO) is the central leadership body that represents and supports all registered student organizations at the University of Houston–Downtown. COO serves as a bridge between student leaders, Student Leadership & Involvement (SLI), campus departments, and external partners to strengthen student engagement and organizational success.

Our Purpose

The purpose of the Council of Organizations is to:
  • Support student-led organizations through communication,
    resources, and advocacy

  • Promote leadership development and collaboration across
    campus

  • Ensure organizations stay informed about policies, funding,
    and opportunities

  • Enhance the overall student experience through involvement
    and engagement

Monthly Meetings

The Council of Organizations (COO) hosts monthly meetings to
support, inform, and connect leaders of registered student
organizations at University of Houston–Downtown. These
meetings serve as a central space for communication,
collaboration, and leadership development throughout the
academic year.

 

It is IMPORTANT and REQUIRED for all student-lead orgs/clubs to
be apart of these monthly meetings.
