The Village Life Center is committed to developing a comprehensive continuum of mental health services to ensure that every individual receives appropriate services and support when needed.

Description of Internship
At the Village Life Center, we provide practical knowledge and hands on training to interns who have a passion for helping others. Our program is community based meaning that services are provided in the community such as in office, in school, and home based therapy. The intern can expect to learn how to provide intake screenings, skills training, case management principles, and mental health advocacy.

Criteria for Interns
The minimum age is 19 and older. The intern must possess maturity, professionalism, enthusiasm to learn, comfort level in speaking in small to medium group settings, compassion for those that are less fortunate and have different cultural backgrounds than their own, familiar with community resources or willing to learn. The office skills needed are power point, ms word, internet /social media experience, and ability to type at least 30 wpm. This internship is best suited for human services/psychology/social work majors. We require a criminal background check as the intern would be working with children, adolescents, and adults.
