K.I.N.G. Chess League began years ago as an outlet to provide affordable chess lessons
to students across the Houston area. Shortly afterwards, K.I.N.G. Athletics was formed
to encourage students to exercise both their minds and their bodies. Today, we serve
public, private, parochial, and charter schools with a variety of academic and athletic
programs..
Prospective interns will aid in instructional environments, academic events (tournaments, seminars, etc.), and athletic events (practices and games). Prior chess knowledge is not required, and free training is provided.
Criteria for Interns Interns must be 18 years of age and older. They also must be able to pass a background
check, work well with children (4-17 years old), and have their own reliable transportation.
Prospective interns must be aware that they will be in an academic and/or athletic
environment and maintain a level of professionalism.
