- Funding covers the cost of QM reviews, but no stipend is provided to participating faculty.

Applicants must complete the QM Applying the QM Rubric workshop and meet several criteria before submitting their course for QM review and certification.
Pre-Application Requirements
- Complete the QM Applying the QM Rubric workshop.
- Ensure the course has a course plan, worksheet, and alignment in design (covered in the QM workshop).
Initial Review Process

- Edit the course based on initial feedback.
Final Review Steps
- CTLE staff conducts a final check to confirm feedback and edits have been incorporated.
- A review team is assigned for the formal QM review.
Certification Outcome
- If the course meets at least 85% of QM standards, it earns certification.
- If not, faculty have a chance to revise the course and submit again for final evaluation.
UHD CTLE Quality Matters Certified Courses Application
In this application, you will indicate any high-commitment initiatives funded through the CTLE (e.g., Online Learning Consortium certificates or OCDI Award), attach your QM "Applying the QM Rubric" completion certificate, and provide a brief reflection on how your course aligns with QM standards. Additionally, you'll conduct a self-assessment, assign a score to your course based on the QM rubric, and identify areas for improvement to achieve an 85% or higher score.
