General Information
University of Houston-Downtown is enrolled in a campus-wide Amazon Business Prime membership. Amazon Business Prime provides organizations with access to exclusive business-only pricing as well quick delivery options. For assistance or to request an invitation to join the Amazon Business account, please contact the procurement card coordinator.
Features
- Orders placed through the Amazon Business account require a procurement card
- Cardholders are invited to join the Amazon Business account upon completion of the procurement card training
- No other Amazon Business accounts will be allowed on the email domain of @uhd.edu. The same email address cannot be used for both the UHD Amazon Business Prime account and another Amazon account

Delivery
To ensure the secure and timely receipt of shipments, it is imperative that users select the free One-Day Delivery option when placing orders. This aligns with UHD’s established delivery schedule and reduces the risk of incorrect deliveries. The defaulted “Fastest Delivery” or "Rush Shipping" option must be changed when placing orders, as it bypasses UHD’s designated delivery hours. Rush Shipping will cause packages to be delivered outside of normal operating hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 A. M. – 5:00 P. M.) and left unattended in unsecured locations. Orders that utilize “Fastest Delivery” or "Rush Shipping" will result in a violation for the cardholder.
