O'Kane Theatre

sound and light boothThe O'Kane Theatre is part of the Department of Arts & Communication and has been a part of the University of Houston-Downtown for over thirty-five years. Students, faculty, staff and alumni have enjoyed participation from performing on stage to working backstage.

The O'Kane theatre seeks to introduce students to live theatre and instill in them an understanding of and appreciation for this dramatic art form. It is designed to focus on and emphasize the development and education of the student, both on-stage and backstage.
