The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board approved Masters of Professional Accountancy in July 2020.

in the Houston - Woodlands - Sugarland metro areas are higher than the nation on average.
In 2025, the median wage for accountants in the Houston metro area was $81,830 with
a high salary of $143,500 exceeding the average United States salaries for accountants
