Garages and Lots
The University of Houston-Downtown offers serveral surface parking lots for students, faculty and staff, and a parking permit must be displayed from the rear view mirror at all times. The surface parking lots include Daly Street parking lot, Naylor Street Lot, and Washington Street lot. In Naylor Street lot, students must park in front of the blue car stops.
The Naylor Street Garage, located under the Marilyn Davies College of Business, is designated for faculty and staff parking from Monday through Saturday, 6:00 am -midnight. The Vine Street Garage, adjacent to the Marilyn Davies College of Business, is designated for student and staff parking, Monday through Saturday, 6:00 am – midnight. Overnight parking must be reported to UHD Police Department, at 713-221-8065. An interactive campus map showing parking lots is available.
Gated faculty/staff surface lots are located at Commerce Street, Wood Street, and Washington Street lots.
Access to garages or gated lots requires one of the following:
- Presenting your Gator ID Card
- Presenting a proximity card
- Scanning your Digital ID Gard Card
UHD is not responsible or liable for any damage to and/or theft of any vehicle, its equipment, or content while the vehicle is parked on university-owned property.
There are two shuttle routes:
- Bayou Express - from the Daly Street Lot to the One Main Building, drop-off on Girard Street, and back to the Daly St. Lot
- Gator Line - from the Daly Street Lot to Commerce Street Building, drop-off on Fannin Street behind the Commerce Street Bldg, to the One Main Building, and back to the Daly St. Lot
- Shuttle buses run approximately 10 - 15 minutes between routes, depending on traffic.
