We promote the economic independence of low-income men by providing financial literacy training, a network of support, professional attire, career development tools, job-readiness and essential life-skills training that help men enter the workforce, stay employed and become role models and mentors to their families and communities.

We are building a network of partner organizations in America’s fourth largest city, in order to assist transitioning military veterans and their families on their path to making Houston their new home.

Lone Star Veterans Association was created by a group of those combat veterans that
wanted to be with other veterans that shared the experience of combat. Since then
we’ve been responsive to the changing demographics of our original members as they
start and grow their families, as well as their careers. We also remain relevant to
veterans recently leaving military service with different needs than those that were
immediately leaving combat. Our motto is “We’ve Been There.”
NextOp
NextOp provides companies with world-class, skilled candidates and coaches them on how to be effective employees. Our mentors work with each transitioning veteran to adjust to their new roles and cultivate the necessary skills to excel in field work, increasing satisfaction and reducing turnover for these positions. We serve those who have served so many—our hardworking veterans.
Texas Veterans Commission
Texas Veterans Commission provides excellent service so that each veteran receives every benefit that they deserve. As a veteran works with our counselors, the quality of life for that veteran and their family significantly increases. Our purpose has always been to act as the state appointed advocate of Texas veterans as they attempt to secure the benefits rightfully earned in exchange for their service in our nation’s armed forces.
US VETS
US VETS provides comprehensive services to the veterans we serve, including case management,
employment assistance, job placement, counseling, as well as drug and alcohol free
housing. At our facilities veterans progress through a seamless continuum of services
designed to help them increase their level of responsibility and prepare them to live
independently in the community.
TexVet.org
TexVet provides a peer mentorship network across Texas that informs, educates, and communicates among veteran groups.
