Upward Bound FAQs
No, unfortunately our program can only service students that attend one of our target
schools.
If the student changes schools after admission into the program, they are typically
allowed to continue participation. However, these decisions are made on a case by
case basis.
Students will recieve cash stipends based on their attendance and active participation
in the program.
Unfortunately, there are numerous variables taken into consideration to determine
a student's stipend amount. Due to these circumstances we do not disclose cash amounts.
The Upward Bound Program's primary objective is to encourage students to enroll and
complete Post-Secondary education no matter the 2 or 4 year institution.
Typically 11th and 12th graders get first priority but there numerous trip opportunities
for all students throughout their time in the Upward Bound Program. Active participation
is also a major factor in final decisions.
While we do appreciate your support, due to a number of constraints majority of UHD
Upward Bound events are for students only.
