UHD Offers Life-Changing Summer Programs for High School Students
During Summer 2024, UHD is investing in the future of high schoolers through educational programs aimed at changing the trajectories of their lives.
UHD Students Go ZERO at Earth Day Houston
Dr. Lisa Morano coordinated a team of UHD volunteers called Recycling Ambassadors who showed attendees how to sort their waste as reusable, recyclable, or compostable. There was also a a dynamic showcase of UHD students' artwork aimed at promoting environmental activism.
Criminal Justice Training Center Cadets Graduated on April 15
Peace Officer Academy Class 444 from the UHD Criminal Justice Training Center graduated and will now enter the workforce at law enforcement agencies throughout the region.
THECB Audit
THECB auditors will be on campus from July 9-11 to inspect UHD's educational and general rooms to ensure continued compliance and space inventory accuracy.

Rhythm & Books: Live Taping of Grace Harrison and Sho' Nuff
The 40,000 Windows Café of W.I. Dykes Library (fifth floor of the One Main Building) will be the place to be at high noon on Wednesday, April 24. Local artists Grace Harrison and Sho' Nuff will perform during two separate live tapings as part of UHD's Rhythm & Books, a series of intimate, daytime concerts featuring Texas-grown talent.
