The Department of Mathematics & Statistics (MS) is one of three academic departments within the College of Sciences & Technology at the University of Houston-Downtown. The department offers broad-based studies in mathematics and statistics, which prepares students for an array of careers requiring advanced skills in quantitative reasoning. The MS department carries out this mission by providing educational opportunities for students through small classes, opportunities for independent study and research, and a senior project.
