The National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) helps
expand students’ access to educational opportunities and ensures more efficient, consistent,
and effective regulation of distance learning programs. Here are a few fast facts
about NC-SARA and SARA: As of October 2021, more than 2,300 institutions in 49 member states, the District
of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands participate in SARA. UHD may notify students residing in a particular state that they are not eligible
to register for distance education courses. In cases where UHD students are affected,
the University will provide support to help resolve the issue. UHD does not currently offer online courses to residents of American Samoa, Guam,
and California. As part of its commitment to transparency and compliance, UHD provides options for
students to submit formal complaints or general feedback. For official complaints related to academics, policies, or procedures, students should
use the UHD Complaint Form. General comments, concerns, or compliments can be submitted through the UHD Feedback Form. If issues are not resolved internally, students may contact their state agency or use the NC-SARA complaint process. UHD is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), which also outlines procedures for filing complaints.Distance Education Out-of-State Authority
