Miguel Herrera is a criminal justice major who currently serves as the 46th undergraduate student body vice-president at the University of Houston–Downtown. He began his SGA journey as a freshman in the fall 2023 semester and has served in the executive branch as treasurer in two past administrations. Miguel is committed to transparency, committed to leadership and is a proud representative of the UHD undergraduate student body.

I am currently a junior pursuing a major in Accounting with a minor in Finance. In addition to my academic studies, I serve as President of PAS, Treasurer of the UHD Men’s Soccer Team, and have had the privilege of serving as Treasurer for USGA. These leadership roles have allowed me to collaborate with driven, like‑minded individuals who share a passion for their careers and for supporting others.
 
My experience at UHD has been truly rewarding, especially through USGA, an organization dedicated to amplifying the student voice and ensuring that our community is heard. I am committed to encouraging greater student involvement on campus, as I believe engagement fosters deeper connections to UHD and opens doors to valuable opportunities.
 
Looking ahead, my personal goal is to secure a full‑time position at a middle‑market accounting firm, where I can apply my skills, continue to grow professionally, and contribute meaningfully to the field.

I am Caroline Dixon, a senior majoring in Political Science with double minors in Communications and Sociology. Within the University of Houston-Downtown community, I proudly serve as a Peer Mentor and Gator Crew Member. As your SGA Undergraduate Secretary, I am committed to advocating for each student's interests to foster a strong environment conducive to academic excellence. I also aim to collaborate with students in their areas of interest, ensuring opportunities for personal and professional growth, leadership, and skill development. I firmly believe that fulfillment is discovered not merely through individual accomplishments but through the community built while achieving various successes.

Hi Gators! My name is Kemberley Osorto, and I serve as the PR and Marketing Chair for the Student Government Association (SGA). I’m a first-generation transfer student majoring in Marketing, passionate about creativity, storytelling, and building meaningful connections through media.
 
A few fun facts about me, I love photography, going to the gym, and singing. I enjoy combining my artistic side with my marketing skills to create engaging and memorable content. I’m excited to represent the student body and share the amazing things happening on campus, making sure every Gator stays connected and informed!

I work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to develop programs and initiatives that encourage involvement, leadership development, and personal growth. My approach centers on advocacy, equity, and holistic support, ensuring students have access to resources that promote academic achievement and overall well-being.
 
Through intentional engagement, strategic programming, and community partnerships, I strive to cultivate a welcoming campus environment where all students feel valued, heard, and inspired to thrive.

I am a Political Science major with a strong academic interest in law, international relations, and global affairs. I hold a minor in International Relations as well as a minor in Translation in English and Spanish, reflecting my passion for language, cross-cultural communication, and diplomacy. Fluent in three languages, I enjoy analyzing how political systems, legal frameworks, and global institutions shape societies. Beyond academics, I have a strong creative side expressed through fashion, makeup, and cooking, which I view as important forms of cultural expression. I also compete as a member of the University of Houston–Downtown R6 esports team, an experience that has strengthened my teamwork and strategic thinking.

My name is Edgar Sanchez; I'm a transfer student from Lone Star College and I am majoring in Biotechnology as an aspiring medical student. I took up the role of senator of the College of Science and Technology in order to aid and amplify the voices of my fellow students. I highly value the opinions and concerns of every student and want to do my best to create a better experience and outcomes for all CST students. Whether it’s creating a more accommodating environment or pushing career opportunities onto students, I want to play a part in ensuring CST students their success. In my free time, I enjoy learning to play the piano, drawing, and basketball.
