If dressing well is a form of good manners, as fashion designer and filmmaker Tom Ford suggests, then The C.T. Bauer Foundation wanted to ensure that the University of Houston-Downtown’s (UHD) Ted Bauer Undergraduate Business Scholars are not only well educated but also dressed to impress.
The C.T. Bauer Foundation extended its support this year to provide 56 Bauer Scholars with professional suits. Inside each jacket, there is a special “Ted Bauer Undergraduate Scholar” patch inside, making it that much more meaningful for the students.
Recently, Bauer Scholars Jennifer Lopez Bolanos, Rosy Campos, Nicholas Gallo, Adriana Guzman, Ashley Garcia, Lisette Munoz, Nora Ortiz, and Eboni Watkins gathered at Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) in their new suits, ready to take on the world!
The Ted Bauer Undergraduate Business Scholarship Program supports MDCOB students during their final two years so they can graduate on time with strong financial and professional support. The Scholars all receive academic guidance, career-readiness training, and encouragement throughout their journey.
The program has grown significantly over the years, from about 25 students for the 2019–2020 academic year to 45 scholars for the 2025–2026 academic year. Many Ted Bauer scholars secure impressive jobs or pursue their MBAs after graduation.
