Transferring to UHD offers an affordable, high-quality education in a prime downtown location with access to jobs and internships. Applying as a Transfer Student

To be eligible for transfer admission, applicants must have earned at least 15 college-level semester credit hours from a regionally accredited institution and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. If your only college coursework was taken while concurrently-enrolled in high school and prior to your graduation, you are a freshman applicant.

Transfer Application Process

Apply online with the UHD Direct Transfer Application.

Pay non-refundable $50 application fee. Check your email for a link to your myUHD student portal where you can pay the fee.

Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.

Transfer Admissions Criteria

If you have 15+ college-level credits from a regionally accredited institution, you may qualify for transfer admission to UHD.

0-14 Hours: Meet freshman requirements & have a minimum 2.0 GPA on transferable credit hours.
15+ Hours: Minimum 2.0 GPA on transferable credit hours.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum Cumulative Transfer GPA
  - For a course taken more than once, the highest grade will be transferred
  - Developmental coursework will not count in the transfer GPA and does not transfer for credit.
- Student must be in Good Academic Standing at the last institution attended.

General Application Processing Times

Application processing time can vary depending on the time of year. Normal processing time is 4-5 business days once all required application materials are received. During peak periods (one month prior to the start of a semester), processing times can increase to 8-10 business days.
