Your pathway to campus sustainability starts here and now. University of Houston
Solid Waste and Recycling Services is helping the University of Houston-Downtown
accomplish a higher level of ecological performance. Shipping services in house recycling
bins is located on the first floor along the walls in the foyer between police and
shipping departments.
Help Shipping, Receiving, Mailrom department enhance UHD's eco-friendly efforts.
Items accepted for recycling:
- milk and juice cartons
- plastic
- paper (copier/shredded paper, newspaper, magazines, junk mail, phone books)
- cardboard material
Items not accepted:
- Construction materials
- Glass
- Styrofoam
- Wet materials
Note: Look for recycling emblem on all recycable items.
All recyclables should be free from food and other contaminants.
