Duties and Responsibilities:
Each Faculty Champion will be assigned a college(s) or department(s) to oversee the A+CE activities and guide faculty within those units. In addition to being familiar with the UHD QEP document, responsibilities of Faculty Champions include:

Recruiting new faculty/courses to the A +CE program (targets will be provided)

Assisting faculty members to complete the course designation process each semester

Helping faculty transition from the Awareness mode to Integration and Involvement modes of A +CE and reporting their progress in this effort each semester (targets will be provided)

Assisting faculty with Signature Assignment development

Assisting faculty with the process for submitting student artifacts at the conclusion of the semester

Assisting faculty to develop critical thinking strategies, integrate speakers and develop service projects for A +CE courses as needed

Meeting measurable targets for A+CE faculty, courses and recruitment based on annual QEP reports
Faculty Champions will also be expected to:

Review faculty applications for A+CE course designation and provide feedback regarding the Signature Assignment

Attend all A+CE-sponsored workshops (typically held once a semester)

Develop an A+CE-sponsored speaker engagement for faculty to send students to as part of their A+CE courses

Attend at least one professional development conference annually that is related to A+CE

Participate in the A+CE Evaluation Summit held annually at the end of the spring semester

Other duties as assigned
All Faculty Champions will serve on the A+CE Implementation Committee. The Implementation Committee drafts a yearly report of QEP activities to submit to the A+CE Advisory Council. The final report is then submitted to the Provost and President's offices for approval.
Faculty Champions will be awarded a stipend at the rate of $1,500/semester pending fulfillment of the assigned duties of the role.
