Windows on Death Row:
Art Inside and Outside the Prison Walls

O'Kane Gallery at University of Houston - Downtown will host Windows on Death Row: Art From Inside and Outside the Prison Walls art exhibit and panel discussion. “Windows on Death Row” features political cartoons about capital punishment created by death-sentenced prisoners and professional political cartoonists.

Panel Discussion - 6:15 - 7:30 p.m. Welcome Center Tour Room - Third Floor

Moderated by: Anne Hromadka. Panelists include: Exonerated death row inmate whose art is part of the exhibit, Ndume Olatushani; Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist Nick Anderson; UHD faculty member Krista Gehring; Attorney and UST faculty member Dr. Nicole Casarez

Exhibit opening Reception - 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. - O'Kane Gallery - Third Floor

The event is sponsored by: Consul General of Switzerland in Atlanta and Murder Victims’ Families for Human Rights. The exhibition team includes: project founders Anne-Frédérique Widmann and Patrick Chappatte and curator and project manager, Anne Hromadka.
