The University of Houston-Downtown’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax help to senior citizens and the disabled with any annual income amount and to people who make $76,000 or less and need assistance in preparing their own tax returns. IRS-certified volunteers provide free advanced income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.
Who’s Eligible? Be classified as one or more of the following:
- $76,000 Annual Income or Less
- College/International Students
- Senior citizen with any annual income amount
- Disabled
