Dear UHD Campus Community,
This week, we hosted our SACSCOC On-Site Review Team as part of our reaffirmation of accreditation efforts. Every day of activities was a success thanks to your hard work and commitment to UHD.
Events like this are an opportunity for us to highlight the strengths of our university team. Your strengths came through! It is also an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues you may not often get to work with. Many of you even met colleagues for the first time during this visit.
For those who spent hours writing the responses to standards, and preparing for interviews, we hope that this visit provided a moment of closure and satisfaction as all the pieces came together. The reviewing team provided helpful feedback to the QEP team, so we can all look forward to growth in the work around Beyond the Bayou: Transferable Skills for the 21st Century!
Everyone on campus played a role in the success of this visit, and the reviewing team was impressed! We had a very positive Exit Conference on Wednesday, March 4.
What are next steps? The team will finalize their report and submit to the SACSCOC Board of Trustees. We look forward to the final announcement of the Board's decision at the SACSCOC Annual Meeting in Houston December 5-8, 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.
