Spring 2026 UHD Faculty Regalia Purchase

Dear UHD Faculty,

Last week, before our spring faculty retreat, we announced a regalia purchase program. UHD is partnering with Herff Jones to purchase standard doctoral or master’s robes for any Tenured/Tenure-Track faculty member, Clinical faculty member, or Senior Lecturer who needs one.

The university will purchase 100 robes on behalf of full-time faculty. We are offering these 100 spots first to tenured/tenure-track faculty, clinical faculty, and senior lecturers. If we have additional spots, we will extend the offer to lecturers. All faculty will still have the option of borrowing regalia for commencement exercises.

Faculty can also choose to purchase hoods and tams to reflect their degree-granting institution from Herff Jones.

*NEW Information* for Lecturers – in the event we have extra spots in the 100 robes for purchase, please submit a completed form with measurements, and we will order on your behalf if we have not reached the full 100 robes requested by tenured/tenure-track, clinical faculty, and senior lecturers.

All faculty (including Adjuncts) – We will always have regalia available to borrow for commencement ceremonies.

This is a one-time purchase offer to full-time faculty, and all robe orders must be submitted by February 16, 2026.

How can I order a robe?

  1. Herff Jones will be on campus various times through January (see dates, times, and locations below).
  2. Tuesday, January 20, 2026, 11am-3pm (Academic 3rd floor, near Auditorium)
  3. Wednesday, January 21, 2026, 11am-3pm (Academic 3rd floor, near Auditorium)
  4. Thursday, January 22, 2026, 4pm-6pm (Marilyn Davies College of Business)
  5. Monday, January 26, 2026, 2pm-5pm (UHD Northwest)
  6. ON YOUR TIME (by February 16): The attached flyer includes instructions to self-measure and submit your order by email (gradsw@herffjones.com) if you cannot attend one of the listed fittings.
