We’re in the home stretch of the season, and across disciplines Gators have been thriving under the pressure of competition.
The Women’s Soccer team is set to end their season on a high note. The team, who are the current reigning champions, recently persevered through a gritty game against Houston City College Stafford to secure a spot in the league finals.
On April 1, both Volleyball teams went head-to-head with College of the Mainland. In the Women’s matchup, each set remained close in points earned, but the Lady Gators pulled through time and time again to nab their third 3-0 sweep of the season.
The Baseball team played against Lone Star College on March 28 and 29. Their final showing for the season takes place this weekend on April 18 and 19, when they play against Houston City College at HCC.
And the Wrestling team’s Lelan Hernandez and Carlos Lopez recently closed out their seasons at the 2026 NCWA National Championships. There, Hernandez won two of his three sets, and Lopez won one of his three. Throughout this entire season, three-man team has shown an impressive dedication to their sport, regularly traveling to other states to compete.
Congratulations to all our athletes for showcasing Gator Grit this season, and good luck to the teams wrapping their seasons up!
