Alexis Beltran graduates with a degree in Political Science and a minor in International Relations. Twice elected as a student senator for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Beltran gained firsthand leadership experience in the role, as well as an understanding of how to participate in governing institutions.

Academic and leadership experiences led to opportunities beyond the classroom. With UHD’s support, Beltran secured internships in Houston family and criminal courts, which allowed for direct insight into the judicial system and preparation for law school. Beltran’s work as an advocate with Justice for Children reflects a commitment to serving vulnerable communities and pursuing justice in practice, not just theory.

A multilingual student leader and eSports team member, Beltran graduates today equipped to advance in the legal field and contribute to making our region a more just place to work and live.
