Help shape the future of transportation in Houston… and earn a chance to win a $500 gift card.
UHD is participating in the Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC)’s Major Universities Travel Survey. The survey is designed to collect critical travel behavior from students, faculty, staff and visitors at participating institutions in the greater Houston area and give transportation leaders a better understanding of their campus travel patterns.
The in-person survey will be conducted at UHD from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 22 and 23, 2025. H-GAC is seeking at least 600 UHD students, staff members and visitors to complete the two-to-three-minute survey.
The survey will be conducted by ETC Institute, a research organization with extensive experience in collecting travel data from university campuses. Trained and experienced interviewers will be on campus wearing blue vests and official ID badges and will administer the survey using either paper forms or electronic tablets.
UHD will be one of 14 colleges and universities in the Houston area participating in this survey. The other institutions are Prairie View A&M University, Rice University, University of St. Thomas, Texas Southern University, UH-Central, UH-Sugar Land, UH-Clear Lake, Houston City College’s Central and Stafford campuses, Lone Star College – Kingwood, Lee College Central, San Jacinto College Main Campus, and Alvin Community College.
All survey participants may opt into entering a $500 gift card drawing upon completion. Five gift cards will be issued at the conclusion and dissemination of the survey. For more information, please contact John O’Toole, ETC Project Coordinator/Researcher, at 913-829-1215.
