What is the sum of games, prizes and free food? If you answered UHD’s annual Algebra Day event, you’re right! All students, faculty, and staff are invited to celebrate their love for mathematics, specifically algebra, while also networking with faculty and several student success organizations.
This highly anticipated university-wide, community-building event—sponsored by the Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the College of Sciences and Technology—will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12 in room A300 of the Academic Building.
Whether you're an algebra enthusiast or just looking for a break, there’s something for everyone, including: Algebra Jeopardy, UHD Algebra Squares, Wheel of Algebra Fortune, as well as free food and drinks and some great prizes.
First held in 2011, Algebra Day aims to foster a greater appreciation for the practical applications of mathematics in everyday life while connecting students, faculty, and staff in a relaxed environment. Mark your calendars and don't miss out on this engaging and enriching event!
