Bayou Bash Invite

Bigger and Better: Bayou Bash 2024

By Marie Jacinto

Temperatures are rising; spring is in the air; and the May 2024 Commencement Ceremony will be here before you know it. Must be that time of year when Gators take a break from studying and head for the bayou (well, this year: the Naylor Lot!) for UHD’s annual Bayou Bash, a Cajun-inspired night of music, food, and fun. On Thursday, May 21, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Naylor Lot will prove to be the perfect spot for hosting this event with the multitude of activities, food trucks, and beverages planned.

The 2024 edition of Bayou Bash will be ticketed and well worth it, so be sure to get your tix in advance. The entrance fee provides food and beverage tickets plus access to all activities. Children 12 and younger are free.

There’s something for everyone—from inflatables for the kiddos to adult beverages for, uh, the adults (21+). Can’t get enough Rodeo? There’s a mechanical bull. Looking for some body art? Henna artists will be on hand. Putting on your dancing shoes? There’s a DJ playing a mix of tunes. Plus seafood, food trucks, custom street signs, and a street market with fun things to buy from a variety of vendors. Get ready to party Cajun-style!

Bayou Bash 2024 is sponsored by Saint Arnold Brewing Company, UHD Student Government Association, the Campus Activities Board, and UHD Council of Organizations.
