Job Summary
The Manager of Counseling Service carries a caseload of clients, providing individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation. Additionally, the manger provides secondary leadership coverage in the absence of the Director, serving as the primary point of contact and overseeing daily operations. The Manager will provide supervision and support to counseling staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical services. The Assistant Director may also assist with leadership responsibilities when the Director is present but attending to other commitments.
Duties
- Administers and assigns intakes for new clients; provides counseling services to established clients; completes clinical documentation promptly.
- Coordinates all aspects of the master's level intern programs, including scheduling, observation, weekly supervision groups, and conducting mid-term and final evaluations.
- Provide supervision and support to counseling staff to ensure effective clinical practice and professional development for staff and student workers; audits clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system; processes weekly data reports; and facilitates team meetings in the Director's absence.
- Serves as the point of contact during unexpected staff absences; delegates responsibilities and manages cancellations or rescheduling of appointments as needed in the Director's absence.

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Master's degree in counseling or a related field that would qualify the candidate to sit for a clinical license exam in mental health
Required Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of related job experience
- Experience with electronic health record systems for maintaining clinical documentation and data reporting
License/Certification
- Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Supervision Certification per specific licensing board
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with interviewing/supervising would be beneficial.
