Job Summary

The Cloud Architect is responsible for the overall planning, designing, managing and maintenance of the operational status of Office 365, Azure Cloud environment along with other infrastructure components.

Duties

  • Plans, manages and maintains the operational status of Office 365 and Azure Cloud environment.
  • Provides installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, administration, and troubleshooting of Office 365 on the cloud and on premise (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Active Directory, Directory Sync).
  • Proposes, leads and implements initiatives (automation) and enhances process improvement efforts.
  • Reviews, monitors and troubleshoots servers and applications from performance/usage perspective.
  • Maintains and updates technical documentation for on-premise and cloud environment.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience.
  • Operational experience with hybrid & cloud technologies, Microsoft 365 Exchange, MS Teams, SharePoint application support, complex multi-domain environment.

License/Certification:

  • Microsoft Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of (5) five years of Windows System Administrator experience is an asset
  • Cisco CCNA certification is an asset
  • Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
  • Microsoft messaging or collaboration technologies.
  • Expert level knowledge of Microsoft server OS 2012R2, 2016 and above
  • Azure AD, Azure AD Connect (DirSync), Active Directory, and DNS.
  • PowerShell, Information Security, SQL databases, programming, and networking.

Skills:

  • Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office;
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Ability to take part in technical cross
    • functional meetings, strong commitment to process, and understanding of change and configuration management principles
  • Ability to maintain and update technical documentation for cloud environment.
