Minority accounting students at the undergraduate level and in several specific graduate programs   


Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute - Deadline in April

Hispanic Background. Must be a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident, be accepted into a graduate management/business major - demonstrate financial need. 


Desk and Derrick Foundation Trust Scholarships - Deadline in April

Award $1,500 3.2 GPA, citizen of US or Canada. Pursing a career in the petroleum, energy or allied industry, or
research and development of alternative fuels.


EDSF Scholarship - Deadline in May

Min. 3.0 GPA - junior lever or higher and graduate students.


Hispanic College Fund, Inc.

For minority high school seniors-U.S. citizen SAT 900 or ACT 23 minimum scores. Leadership pontential-financial need. 


Native American Journalists Association Scholars - Deadline in April

Native American students interested in journalism.   


PFLAG/HATCH Youth Scholarship

Graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered high school senior, or be enrolled in university classes. Full time - resident of Houston - all majors.


Point Foundation Scholarship - Deadline in April

Open to undergraduate students - 3.0 GPA -demonstrate financial need.


Stephen Phillips Memorial Scholarship

High School seniors and undergraduates. Major in Engineering.


United Negro College Fund Scholarship - Deadline in March

1. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
2. Students must have unmet need as verified by the university financial aid office
3. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA)
4. Students must request that the Student Analysis Report (SAR) be sent to the financial aid office at their college or university


Women in Transition Scholarships - Deadline in April

Females with a major in Accounting.


PAF Scholarships For Survivors - Deadline in February

A patient completing a course of study that has been interrupted or delayed by a diagnosis of cancer other critical or life threatening disease.


Houston Hispanic Architects & Engineers - Deadline in March

Academic Scholarship Program for Hispanic high school students in the Houston area who want to pursue a college degree in the fields of Architecture, Engineering or Surveying.

Texas Energy Council Scholarship - Award Amount up to $2500 – Deadline in March


Grants and/or scholarships will be awarded to scholars in undergraduate or graduate degree level. The scholar should be in an energy related field including but not limited to geology, geochemistry, petrology and related sciences or in the business fields of finance or economics related to the energy industry.
• Resident of Texas
• Financial need
• Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher
• Energy related field
