Individual Review Committee FY24

Charge:

Per PS 3.A.24 Admission of Undergraduate Students, the Individual Review Committee is responsible for the following: 

• Establish and document criteria and procedures for reviewing admissions appeals cases. 

• Review and make decisions in an appropriate timeframe on all applicants who appeal the denial of their admission to UHD. In doing so, the committee may request additional materials from the applicants for consideration in their review of the appeal. 

• Determine level of admission (full admission or conditional admission) for students whose appeal is successful.

Composition:

The voting membership of the committee consists of one faculty representative from each degree-granting college; the committee is chaired by elected leadership and supported by staff members from the Admissions division who convenes the committee and keeps a record of all official procedures and decisions. Others may be invited to support committee conversation and processes as appropriate.
