Your path to a four-year degree starts now. This new partnership between the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) and Houston Independent School District (HISD) makes college more accessible, affordable, and achievable for graduating high school seniors.

Eligibility Criteria

- Graduating senior from an HISD school
- Maintain at least a 2.5 high school GPA
- Meet any additional program requirements (such as test scores, if required by your major).
- Submit your UHD admission application by June 1, 2026

How Guaranteed Admission Works?

- If you meet the guaranteed admission criteria at the start of senior year, UHD will
extend a conditional admission offer.

- Stay on Track

- Confirm Your Admission
- Full admission is granted based on your final high school transcript.
- RSVP and attend New Student Orientation.
- Meet with an advisor and register for classes.
