What is the QEP?
UHD is engaged in a very important process to reaffirm our accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
One central component of this process is the selection and development of a Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP). The QEP is an initiative that will enhance student learning. A successful QEP will reflect the mission and values of UHD. It will enhance and complement the objectives outlined in our strategic plan. It will enable us to continue our important goal of student success.
SACSCOC defines a QEP as the following: Engaging the wider academic community and addressing one or more issues that contribute to institutional improvement, the plan should be focused, succinct, and limited in length. The QEP describes a carefully designed and focused course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue(s) related to enhancing student learning.
The UHD Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is available in Flash or PDF format.
For more information on requirements of the QEP, SACSCOC has provided an online resource, the 2012 edition of Principles of Accreditation: Foundation for Quality Enhancement.
