Following our successful pilots of the Gator Textbook Access Program (GTAP), the program is now expanding to include all faculty, courses, and students for fall 2025. Students enrolled in the program will pay for their books and materials for a single, flat fee. This program aims to prepare every student with their required materials for the first day of class at an affordable price.
Program Benefits:
- Students arrive at their classes prepared with all their required materials in the correct editions and formats, allowing faculty to begin teaching immediately.
- Faculty maintain academic freedom in selecting the required content, provider, and edition that best suits their course(s), including OER materials.
- Required course materials are available digitally in the student’s Canvas account, with access to key features such as, in-text highlighting, flash cards, and note-sharing applications.
- Physical materials will be available for easy pickup at the campus store, as needed.
- Reduced student stress related to finding and purchasing the correct required course materials in time for the start of classes.
- Fee flexibility that allows students to opt out of the GTAP program, should they find it more economical to buy their assigned materials from a vendor of their choice.
- Up to 60% lower than equivalent pricing for student’s required course materials, thanks to the campus store’s negotiations with publishers and bulk purchasing.
