Job Summary
The Manager of Organizational & Talent Development designs and leads university-wide learning initiatives that build leadership and management capacity, support performance improvement, and promote a culture of continuous development.
Duties
- Leads the assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation of staff development programs aligned with institutional goals.
- Oversees the Manager Development Program including the design, development, facilitation, coordination, communication, and evaluation of the program
- Manages the execution of the Leadership Development program, including the design, development, coordination, communication, and evaluation of the program
- Partners with department and divisional leaders to assess needs and design tailored training solutions and tools that support team performance and strategic initiatives
- Collaborates on the planning, execution, and evaluation of the annual Staff Development Conference, ensuring alignment with institutional learning priorities.
- Oversees Talent Development staff and operations
- Assists in employer recognition initiatives
Marginal Duties
- Maintain UHD's leadership succession development plans
- Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree
Required Experience:
- Minimum of four (4) years of related job experience. Previous supervisory experience required.
License/Certification:
- None required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience designing and delivering learning content
- Experience in employee development
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Experience advising and counseling managers
- Experience training and developing managers
- Experience with personality assessment tools
- SHRM, HRCI, or ATD certification preferred
