The Compensation Department's goal is to attract and retain a qualified workforce by establishing and maintaining a compensation program that considers the external market while focusing on ensuring internal equity and emphasizing the advantages of working in a University setting.
Compensation services include: conducting position reviews to determine appropriate classification titles, salary grades, and overtime exemption status; creating and maintaining job descriptions that accurately describe the duties and responsibilities of each position; and, consulting with departments regarding reorganization, restructuring, and other compensation and classification issues.
