PRSA Foundation - Deadline in May

Award: $3000 Recipient must have a declared major in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing and have a desire to practice the public relations profession.


Adelante Scholarship - Deadline in May

UHD Juniors. Major in Business or related fields. 3.0 GPA - Must be eligible to receive financial aid.


Don Miller Scholarship - Deadline in September

Award: $2,000 Open to full-time junior and senior students with financial need, must be pursuing a professional career in the field of intellectual and developmental disability services.


Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship - Deadline in September

Undergraduate and graduate students. Technical sciences or engineering disciplines: CS, Engineering (Chem., Elec,) GPA 3.0.  


Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities Deadline in May

Various scholarships open to students of HACU member institutions.

  • Enrolled at a HACU-member college or university in the U.S. or Puerto Rico at the time applications are completed and scholarships awarded. 
  • Demonstrate financial need (typically determined by FAFSA).
  • Meet criteria for specific scholarships to which they are applying.
Applications and supporting documents must be submitted by May 25th Scholarships will be awarded in the fall.


The Charley Wootan Grant Program - Deadline TBA

  • At the time of application, are U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents of the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands or any of the U.S. territories and commonwealths, and
  • Are high school seniors or graduates (including GED recipients) who plan to enroll or are students who are already enrolled at least half-time in an undergraduate course of study for the upcoming fall term at an approved* two or four year college or university or vocational-technical school, and
  • Demonstrate financial need, and
  • Are eligible to receive Title IV (federal financial aid) funding


Women in Leadership Society - Deadline in May

Must be a single mother residing in Brazoria County, TX
Must have joint or full custody of your children
Demonstrate financial need
Maintain a 2.0 GPA and be enrolled in 6 or more credit hours


Organization of Women in International Trade -  Deadline:  April 30th

Scholarship for students pursuing disciplines related to international trade. 
Award $1,000.00 for one semester.

  • Applicants must be pursuing a degree related to international trade
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited school, institution, or college in the Greater Houston Metropolitan Area AND have interned for a Houston company within the last two (2) years
  • Must provide a complete, official college transcript sealed and stamped by the registrar
  • Must demonstrate leadership by providing a list of awards and extracurricular activities, such as civic and community involvement
  • Must submit a letter of recommendation from a professional or faculty reference
  • Must fully complete the attached application form
  • Must complete essay requirements as described in the attached application form
